TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR PARTY IN BALANCE IN LAGUNA BEACH

  • Take some time for reflection: It's important both to celebrate the new year as well as reflect on where you have been and where you are going. Here are some questions to consider as you reflect:
  • On a scale of 1-10, how happy are you with your health?
  • How is your body feeling on a day to day basis?
  • What symptoms and areas of pain are you experiencing?
  • How are these symptoms affecting your life and the ability to participate in the activities you love?
  • Describe the lifestyle and state of health that would be your ideal?
  • On a scale of 1-10, how much do you value this ideal level of health you have described?
  • How willing are you to invest in seeing this come to fruition?
  • What would be an actionable first step to move towards this goal?

If you choose to drink alcohol as you celebrate this weekend, use these tips to support your liver and keep from feeling lousy the next day.

  • Stay Hydrated: Alcohol dehydrates the body quickly. Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day, drinking lots of water before you begin to drink alcohol. As the night continues, drink a glass of water between each alcoholic beverage.
  • Eat Before You Drink: Eating a good meal before you begin to drink helps your body to better handle the effects of alcohol.
  • Keep Your Sugar Intake Low: Alcohol raises your blood sugar. If you are drinking, you don't want to spend too much time at the dessert table or eat too many carbs. The combination of alcohol and high sugar/glucose levels creates extreme highs and lows in your blood sugar. These extremes can negatively affect sleep patterns as well as contribute to gaining extra weight.
  • Support Your Liver with Vitamins and Nutrients: Your liver has to work extra hard to break down alcohol. Take the necessary supplements to help support your liver so that you are less likely to have a hangover and be fatigued the next day. We have several products that support liver function including Liver RX and Methyl SP. If you don't have these supplements with you, see if you have products containing Vitamin B-12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Magnesium, and Choline. Boost your system with these vitamins before and after drinking
