Traveling this Summer? Tips to prevent sickness and encourage rejuvenation!

We hope you are enjoying the sun and the beauty of this season. It's quite possible that you have some travels scheduled over the next few months.

It's so important to take time to rejuvenate, enjoy and just RESET. Vacation is a time for this... or more realistically, it can be. It can also bring up it's own stresses and leave us feeling exhausted or sick.

So, what are some best practices for a vacation that leaves you feeling balanced, energized, and delighted?

Firstly, it's important to implement BOTH rest and play. Take time to explore, dance, laugh, eat, hike, run, and enjoy. Balance that out with time to be still, meditate, relax, journal, reflect, read, breathe, and of course, sleep. Either one of these components without the other leaves you feeling a lack, either exhausted or dull. You need both for true rejuvenation.

Secondly, be mindful of your body and what it needs. We have a tendency to "let go" on vacation. We eat sweets, stay up late, and push ourselves more than normal. Letting go is not a bad thing by any means, but there is a sweet spot where we can be free while still honoring our bodies, what is good for us, and what we need.
